Mother donkeys — with their babies — frequently wind up going to slaughter simply because they’re overbred in those areas that utilize them. They make wonderful guardians, similar to Llamas but much less expensive. They keep an eye on property, babies, even dogs and their braying — very rarely done for entertainment purposes — alert homeowners to potential dangers such as coyotes in the neighborhood.
They’re very bright — very intuitive — very loving, much like dogs. They can learn to do tricks, riding and driving carts and even toting other animals. They’re interesting and fun, and completely vegan — providing nonstop entertainment and fun for the entire family!
